My favorite show: Desperate Housewives

I am so happy the new season has finally started! I am a little confused as to what happened between Susan and Mike though. After I saw the flashback I was wondering where her little boy, Maynard, was...did he die in the accident?! And is Mike really dead...or did the ordeal just split them up and the kid is with him? Ok, I obviously need to pay better attention while watching TV.
